Espace lointain

In Megapolis, everyone is born blind. The inhabitants rely on electroacoustic sensors, and the verb ‘to see’ is no longer part of their vocabulary. Until the day Gabr regains his sight. Terrified by what he takes to be hallucinations, he goes to the Ministry of Control, where he is diagnosed with ‘remote space’ psychosis. But what if what he was perceiving was actually reality? His encounter with Oks, the leader of a revolutionary group, confirms Gabr's intuitions. Torn between the violence of terrorists and that of a millennial system, will he find his own way to access ‘remote space’ and freedom?

With this Orwellian dystopia, Jaroslav Melnik offers a powerful metaphor for a world ready to sacrifice truth for security. But can we live in a lie?

The meeting of the myth of the cave and The Hunger Games. A real success (TELERAMA).

A new gem (BIFROST).
